With a rough design for an innovative, 1-man, off-the-ground tent, family-owned Kamp-Rite was formed in California in 1999.

As a family heavily involved in outdoor activities ranging from camping & hunting, to surfing and fishing, we spent the first two years testing and developing the design of what would eventually become "The Original Tent Cot".

At first, we marketed mainly to casual campers, but soon we discovered that our unique product was popular with a wide range of groups and consumers that included Fire Fighters, EMTs, Boy Scouts, rafting guides, hunters, surfers, various military deployments and humanitarian organizations just to start the list!

Along the way, we added several new products to the Kamp-Rite Tent Cot Family, including "The Oversize", "The Double" and the "Kid's Fun Cot". And, as we continue to fine-tune each product on the valued recommendations of consumers & retailers alike, we also strive to expand the uniqueness of our product line, doing our best to deliver a new experience in camping comfort to the world over!

Kamp-Rite Tent Cots can now be found on every continent, being used in every conceivable way. And though sometimes copied, the Kamp-Rite Tent Cot has never been bettered!

So remember, if it doesn't say "The Original", it probably isn't!
